Manson Reamers
Finally got a reply from a US reamer manufacturer. PT&G and JGS both dont obviously reply to emails. Have ordered a new reamer through Manson Reamers and should have it in around 10 weeks.
This is the calibre http://www.6mmar.com/260_Imp_30_.php
Fingers crossed the tax man is kind and I might be able to afford a nice new pierce action to run it with!

Re: Manson Reamers
I thought PT&G were pretty good to talk to, they usually have excellent service.
I have a manson reamer, sure you will be happy, will have to compare the 6.5 results when they are both shooting.

A mate of mine ordered a 300 blackout reamer from Clymer and got it less than two weeks.

PTG Mate you can't get much worse than that mob, ask camel.
They stuffed us around no end, sent dummy cases so we could get exactly what we wanted, charged for a custom reamer & ended up sending an off the shelf reamer. Had a 22* shoulder instead of 28* After a long battle finally got a full refund.
They are coming up more & more on US sites for poor service & mistakes. It was once a fine company
Brad, I hope your reamer arrives, Mansons are one of the companies who are saying that they can no longer export

Re: Manson Reamers
G'day Rolf,
Nah Pestie wants to rebarrel his swift into a .220 swift Ackly, and a new barrel in his Tikka M55 .222.
Hows things going with you now? Have missed your "cough mixture" . . . .
I'm still waiting for the .260 Remmy in a Savage Model 12 LRP, so will be picking your brains when it comes in for some advice on F Class.
Catch ya later mate,
Mick

G!day Mick,
Going well, been to the Phillipenese, working on the Kentucky Fried Chicken Kings boat for a month, hated the place couldn't get out fast enough. Ben and I are going on a job in Gove next month will take the.458 and try to get a Buff. Cough medicine is working well i have a cronic cough so need to keep taking it. Hey why not suggest a 22/243 for Pestie that will burn his barrel out much quicker give him something to complain about! I noticed that the 'F' class turn out is pretty dismal in Darwin nowadays they will need a few more shooters to keep it up. Its a shame Ben and I aren't there to turn some of Garry's newbys when he runs the next introduction to target rifle course. Say hello to all the boys for us will you we miss you all.
Regards Rolf.

No worries Rolf will let all and sundry know that Ben's pink rifle has turned you into a sentimental old fart.
First week of New Shooters Program was on Sunday, 27 newbies and I convinced a couple of the boys from work to come too.
One has his eye on your fandangled megascoped trendy new age way of shooting, so I am spreading the news for you lol.
Have fun with the .458, dont let the bush rats spoil the hunt mate.
Mick

Re: Manson Reamers
I bought my 6BR reamer from Manson's. Cant recommend them highly enough. Dave went out of his way to assist me with getting the right specs and I put his service at second to none. Shits all over PT&G.

Re: Manson Reamers
Well Im going to go back on my word for now, communication has stopped with Mansons for some reason. I added onto the order a short throat 6.5x284 reamer for a mates heavy varminter and that has been the end of it. I am at the point where I only need to send them money but there is no response- customer service has been great til now. Ive just emailed clymers with the reamer drawings and hopefully will hear back from them soon.
