Beware................!Vortex Optics

Post by Peacemaker »

I have to bring this to every ones attention the issue I'm having with vortex optics in particular there Australian distributor. I don't know what to do. I've never experienced this kind of service before from a fire arms or fire arms related service ever............ I WILL NEVER BUY ANY OTHER SCOPE........... From any were else again! Lol...The service and product is second to non. I damaged my Vortex Viper PST yesterday by getting the ring caps mixed up, crushing/ distorting the scope body. I contacted Extravission today and they said bring it in and they will see what they can do. I told them the truth and that it was 100% my fault. Hoping for them to service the scope and clean the dislodged paint flecks now on the retical lense at the very most at a cost to me for my stupidity. There response was...... No problem, it has a life time warranty. We don't have any stock for a week or 2 as they were just cleaned out last week but they WILL REPLACE IT WITH A NEW ONE! ....... What????? I damaged the scope...... No issue, bring it back in 2 weeks and I'll give you another. How can any one go past Vortex Optics..... Especially with this kind of service from the guys at Extravission. No sending it away for 6months.... No, its your fult so stiff shit. NOTHING IS AN ISSUE with thease guys. If your thinking of buying a scope don't go any were else until you have a look at the Vortex range. They have just about every thing opticaly from budget to the gear the SF use currently in country.

So basically beware if you can't handle fantastic honest hasstle free service form a great company on great products. http://www.extravision.com.au/catalog/index.php

Great for you to give them a good rap when they deserve it mate, often hear all the sob stories about people not being happy, so its fantastic to hear someone give credit where it is due. will look into them when I get my next couple of scopes.

WELL DONE

I never got a reply back from them when I asked if they could get my 2 vipers to focus down to 40 meters. On the phone I was told they would see if it could be done and ring me back the next day. Never happen , so I sent them an email. Never heard back from them.
I'm not as impressed with their service as you are. Then, if I had your result I would be happy too.

and for quite some time Vortex/ExtraVision are and have been very generous, co-operative and humble sponsors to various Australian shooting disciplines.

IMHO, given the above, they deserve to be acknowledged and supported whenever possible for their efforts.

cheers

Yes, plenty of buinesses out there willing to take money from the sport, not many put some money and efort back in. My hunting scopes and spotting scopes are Vortexs as well now.

I bought three Vortex scopes when camera land had a sellout thinking I would make a quick profit. A bloke in Queensland didnt like his. Cameraland talked to Vortex, Vortex talked to the aussie distributor and they replaced the scope.

You could just imagine Leupold calling Nioa for you and Nioa relacing your self imported scope
