Will you be my coach??? Scissors?? You going to give me a trim?? Short back and sides?

I do need some coaching for sure, specially with serrated knifes. Cut the tip of my thumb  off last night cooking dinner.. Con- lots of blood and throbs... Pro- didnt have to finish making dinner or wash up!

Worked out pretty even really.

It looks like the lightguns are having a very good year.. just to stir the heavygun guys..

It doesn't worry me where I come in the SOTY or the Fly Shoots really... I'm there just for the fun, and fun it is shooting a 6mm!

Need to decide if I am going to shoot the 6.5X55AI on the 22 Sept, or shoot the Dasher.

Cheers

Rinso,

Kenneth wont be there but I will. Still going to shoot 2 guns at Canberra. Will see how 30br shoots at Canberra then decide what to shoot in Brisbane. You better have that 6ppc on the boil for Brisbane. :D

Yes PVM is on fire.. and he too is using a 6mm Dasher. I might have to ring him and tell him to leave it at home. Talking to him at the Bay, he really really likes the Dasher, and after the first target was shot new that the Dasher was goign to out perform the 6.5-284 on the day!

Its only half way through the year, so it could be very interesting. I just need to raise that 201 of mine upto a 220 odd and that might, I say might, be enough!

You still going for a 6X47L for Ethans rifle? I think it is a number one choice. I might even chamber my Dasher to one once its barrel is done. Dasher gets to the 3050fps at high pressure, and the 6X47L gets there with a very mild load. The 6X47L offers no real velocity advantage, it can push them quicker by a margin, but the accuracy is around the 3000-3100fps. My prediction is that Ethan will clean you up at one Fly Shoot next year!

Malcolm

I have not got the 6.5X55AI in my hands yet. Shane is working on it! It has a Shehane ST1000 tracker stock near identical to my Dashers, 30" Lilja, BAT MB Multiflat dual port action, BAT rings, Jewell trigger, and 12-42 Nightforce. The neck is a 0.294, so minimal turn.

I am looking forward to getting it going, but it would really have to impress me first up if I were to use it at the next shoot because the Dasher has not let me down. Choices choices!

Steven,
Shame about kenny will see you there .. do you remember the way or should I send you directions .. it has been a while hasn't it.
The 6PPC will probably see me smacked from one end of the range to the other but its all good fun. Its the 300 mag that I really want to shoot in Brissie the 6PPC just makes the trip worthwhile.

AI,
Yes still looking at 6 x 47L, it would take a really good argument to change that. I have the stock and have a Stolle LB,LP arranged that PVM has put aside for me .. so a barrel and trigger will be a jewell and we are all but done.
Yes he probably will clean me up but not just yet.
I think it would be a rather foolish choice to take the 6.5 to Canberra when the Dasher has done so well so far. Stick with the Dasher for at least the Canberra shoot and bring the 6.5 for the 1000yd on Sunday.

cheers

AI,

I reckon I would be pretty 'schiesterhousen' at coaching considering you flogged me at Batemans :? I reckon I would excel at hairdressing though ....maybe a No 2 all over would be good

Mate, stick to the Dasher it's going well...why change...

Sorry to hear about the thumb, lucky it wasn't the trigger finger.

Rinso,

As the ugly step sister said  not going to Brizzy at this stage....ya never know but  gotta agree PVM can do no wrong lately...good to see :D

Yeah.. I think it would not be a wise idea to give the Dasher away for the 6.5X55AI. Could be a silly move indeed!

I have never shot 1000yds.. so it will be very very very interesting to say the least!

No.2 all over.. come on.. your more artistic than that arn't you Kenny??

Mate

It a 7500 1.36" dual port with the ejection port large enough for a 6.5X47L.

The sotck will be either a Richards #5 thumbhole varminter or a ProCal BRX laminate.

Barrel is a Lawton, 1.25 for 4", taper to 0.890 at 28". 10 twist.

Trigger will be a jewell.

Scope a Weaver T36.

Caliber, 6BRDX. Will shoot 87Vmax for varminting and for comp. use 90 Lapua Scenars. I might let people use this rifle if they are interested in Fly Shoots if they want to get their feet wet! We'll see!

Hopefully this rifle will be up and running in a few months time. Waiting on the parts sucks!
