Win model 70 stealth II in 22-250. Just musta been one of those bad days, though groups of 2 1/2 to 3 inches I thought was a bit much. Then again as I said Im no guru nor do I shoot for gold and the original question was intended to find out a few things as I do not have the experience a lot of folk on this forum do. In saying this I have never had a mentor in this field its just been trial and error, more error than anything else unfort.

I had a Heavy Varmint M70 in .22/250, very similar to yours, and it liked those 55s quite well, especially with what you call 2206H (H4895). I used 34.5 gr. of that powder and 55s, and it shot very well indeed. It also liked Varget (don't know your # for that one) with the 50s and 40s. Good luck!

Varget = AR2208 :D
(Actually is 08 and repackaged for the OS market)
