Re: Tomorrow I get to play with...
Was great fun, but sadly cameras were banned.
The 338's are damn loud, the M4 well... I just want one for bunny gun, the M14 was cool and the belt fed was just for show and no firing.
Plenty of people walked away with a grin.
And a couple of the SAS boys were up there with the top 10 shooters in the 600m tactical match. But they know thier guns and they definitely know how to use them!

52 other shooters there this morning. Plenty left with a big grin after shooting the 338's. You can believe it or not- I dont care. Had fun anyway.

Re: Tomorrow I get to play with...
Was an oldy, but apparently very reliable and still in service.
What I did find interesting was the bolt setup of the blaser 338's. They are a straight pull bolt system with some sort of collet system as a bolt face, then rails either side to slide in and out. When you pull the bolt out it kind of looks like your taking half of the action away. Lots of people were trying to cam over the bolts as it looked like thats how you do it. When the guys did a bit of a demo, they were able to get a full mag off pretty quick with the straight pull bolt.

Re: Tomorrow I get to play with...
They are accurate for field rifles- definitely not precision rifles, but practical in the field. The guy who won the WA dukes dusted everyone off in the 600 tactical, I would have placed 4th and beaten both the SAS guys if I hadnt of put one shot onto the wrong target.... I think Im happy with my tuned up remmy.
