Not Really a Varminmter

Post by Rolcar52 »

Guys,
I just thought I'd share my 'F' class rifle. I had this made up by Phill Mastin last year, .308 Winchester, Barnard P action, and Barnard trigger, 30" Trueflite 1-12 extra heavy Palma profile barrel, Phill Mastin tracker thumbhole stock, action is bedded in a Mastin Vee block, its fast becoming my favorite rifle shoots like stink.
Reghards Rolf.

Rolf that is a beautiful rifle. Had two true flites and they both shot well. Played with the barnard action the other day while watching a 223 barrel get chambered for it. Its a nice solid action thats for sure.

Brad, trevort,
I wish i could shoot it as good as it shoots, I'm trying though have had the gun since August last year and the round count is up to 2000 now, I just got a quote from Phill for a new spare barrell threaded and chambered ready to go $770.00 i will be ordering one soon. I'm very impressed with the Barnard action thinking of building another rifle as a switch barrell varminter come spare ' F' class rig in 22/250, 6X47 Lapua, 300 WSM.

jeffk,
It is a Caldwell fire control, I works ok, is a little fiddly to get working somwhere near but not quite smoothly, does'nt cost $1200.00 though. I don't like the 3 lobe bag it's a pain in the arse to use, I have ordered a Sinclair RT-3 top which is wider and allows me to fit a 3" Protektor bag, can't fit it with the standard top, I'll post some photos when ii arrives.

Regards Rolf.
