Brooks Trigger Kit

Post by czt3 »

I have a new Cz .22lr. Unfortunatly the trigger has a sh#t load of creep. Anyone familiar with the 'Brooks Trigger Kit' out of the US. At about $25 AU they are much cheaper than puttin in a whole new trigger. i just wonder how good they are?

I got a trigger kit and the hex replacement screws for $48.25 paid with paypale.

I didn't use the tubes as creep wasn't too bad. I did use the second heaviest spring and it passed the bump test . I had to put in the heaviest spring in as it didn't make the 2 pound limit for hunter silhouette. I shot a PB of 22 with it so I'm leaving it alone for a while.

Have a 3/32 x 3/4 roll pin handy as the front pin can get bent easily.

My CZ is the silhouette modle.

There pretty good but stay away from the lighter springs, theres 5 in total from memory tried one in a mates .22 and after about 3 months it would fire as soon as the bolt shut so wen back to the slightly heavier ones and havent had a problem since!

G'day
I purchased a kit and hex head screws as well.
I used the ? second smallest sleeve and also second smallest spring which gave me a excellent trigger which was very light and minimal creep.
This trigger is also safe and has had a couple of thousand shots by it, still no trouble.
Dont forget you can use a light spring and then use the existing factory adjustment as well.
Well worth the money and you should not be without one.!!!

I'm with native hunter I used the red sleeve and the second litest spring in my HMR its awsome. I know people who have paid a fair bit of cash for trigger jobs in there cz and haven't had as good a result. And the brooks kit is fully reverseable.

I have worked the trigger in my cz 22lr with one of the kits and found it very easy to fit and well worth the dollars.

Dr G - mail ordered mine from Eric Brooks as per the attached site. Ordered it and it was here in about 7 days. Also got the bore guide to suit the cz too :D

G'day fellas,
I have a brno 2-E .22lr and a CZ452 .17hmr varmit.
The 17 had a trigger job done by Clancy and its great.@ $50

My B.I.L is a tool maker and did the trigger on the brno about six years ago and it is great aswell. The gun passes thebump test but on a recent trip out in the western Riverina shooting rabbits the rifle discharged severral times when I flicked the saftey off?

The rifle is near twenty years old, has anyone suffered this problem?

Extensive review of the CZ forum on Rimfire Central will suggest several fully acceptable alternatives to obtaining a nice trigger pull without use of the kit. In addition to learning a variety of CZ things you could use the savings for AMMO. Besides, many of us oldsters remember that "creep" used to be "take-up" and a quite familiar thing in good shooting. pogy

But a creepy trigger and a 2-stage trigger are two different things mate atleast you know when the rifle will fire with a 2 stage its not consistant with a creepy trigger!!
