HW80

Post by Whitey »

Attended at customs yesterday and picked up my new HW80K .25 barrel. Bought it from a shop in Canada. I have already put a Maccari kit in the rifle. So thismorning I put the .25 barrel in. This combo has just become my favourite AR (at least for now). It shoots with a solid smooth thunk and after early tests at only 10-12 m it is very accurate with Silver Bears. The .25 cal is such a fun calibre. Will be taking it for a run on the rats when I get a chance. Well worth it if you have a HW80 hanging around boring you.

Just bought a Benjamin Marauder in .25 from AusArms. Waiting for the PTA as usual but looking forward to it's arrival. Will post a review and some pictures. Hopefully should be a good value rig. He has another .25 sitting there if anyone is keen. They get good raps on Yellow 54.

Chris, I got it from http://www.specialtyshootingsportsoutdo ... ontact.htm

I think it was about $175 Australian with a cocking arm pin and two pivot washers. That's posted. Exchange rate is good.

I'll have to get a chrony and see what it's doing. It's smashing my pellet trap.

Brendan,

Will you be posting any developments and testing on your .25 HW80? I am interested in velocities you can get from a good springer.
