Well ive came to the conclusion that ammo makes a huge different when it comes to rimfire shooting. Just of late i have ran out of my good ammo i have been using (eley 1010 188 03 1055) loved it could not put a foot wrong with it. Now i have none left i just cant seem to get it to shoot. The current ammo im using is 1010 192 03 1058 and i played around with the turner and other batches and its shooting the best i can seem to get it to shoot still no where near like it was shooting.
The question im trying to get at here is..... Why does eley ammo seem to make such a difference in the different speeds. No other ammo company seems to use this. Is it just a head thing or can it really be true different speeds really do make a difference.
I just dont seem to understand why it liked my old batch so much better than ammo im using now. Is it once we find the ammo we like and shoots well we buy the lot!!!

Im no expert but i assume it works the same as a centrefire with load development with using different powder weights it finds the velocity the creates the harmonics that your rifle likes. This a complete guess im sure someone with more knowledge will be able to tell you
