Second day of air not as good, our air rifle fell to bits on the bench and I needed to borrow a team USA rifle while the timer was running. We also used the light rifle in heavy class and with the wind stronger we go pushed around.
I finished 14th aus a finished 5 th. In the 2 day combined I finished 5th, I am very happy with 5th best air rifle shooter at the world titles.
Today is 25m sporter

25m sporter today, Bill C. and I shared the Croc that I built.
248 first card 15th best target from round 1.
250 second card with 17x's best target round 2.
249 third target 15th best target round 3.
Overall I finished 8th Bill C. was 13th and Richard L. was 16th.
Not bad considering team USA took 1st through to 7 th places and 9th as well.
25m 10.5pm class tomorrow sniperwench's first day of shooting if you don't count the semi auto rifles and pistols she has been playing with.
More tomorrow

Tough day today, my rifle did not travel so well and I think my scores today showed it. Tomorrow is another day.
Clinton S. Was 3rd today and a couple others in the top 10. The only Aussies that did well today used USA rifles calfee eck etc I think Barry H. Was best with an Aussie rifle.
25m heavy gun tomorry sadly I am using the same gun as today, I might be able to get my hands on a calfee gun if I think mine is not up to it but that goes against part of why I am here.

Another tough day top 9 shot clean I droped 3 points and was mid field.
Richard lightfoot was the best of the Aussies finishing 5th.
We finally move out to 50m tomorrow which is great, I hate 25m.

50m sporter

Post by Brett33 »

Bill C. and I were out with the Croc again today at 50m.
My results are much better 7th today behind 6 USA guys bill was also in the top ten as was clinton and Richard. The combined 25 and 50m agg I was 6th Bill 7th with 5 USA guys in front. Not bad for a Aussie built sporter.
Tomorrow is 50m 10.5lb class hopefully I can keep it up.
Sorry I do not have the technology to post photos when I get home I will see what I can do.

Hi all 10.5 is done another top 10 for me 9th from 60. Bill was 12th I think and Clinton made top 20 as well.
Ron there are 8 countries and between 50 & 60 shooters in each class. The USA is the biggest team with a full 15 in each class and not many are shooting all classes, there entire team would be 40 guys. The Aussies are a team of 15.

Nothing to update - the comp was over after 10.5 last Saturday.

Just about everyone is home, but Brett, Bill, and Geoff K had to fly home the circuitous route :( One consolation was I had Bill's empty seat next to me on the 16.5hr flight home on Wednesday...
