R9 and R10 - What's the difference?

Can anyone explain to me the difference between an R9 and an R10 please?

Basically,only the construction method and a screw on scope rail.The R10 was introduced in 1985 or so as a smaller.lighter version of the R1.It had a smaller diameter piston with a 26.5mm piston seal instead of 30mm and a thinner receiver wall.Because of the thinner receiver wall,HW installed a screw on scope rail but it still retained the traditional HW threaded end cap as seen on the R1 and R8 plus HW35/50/55/77/80/97.
The R10 was discontinued in the early 90's and was replaced by the R9.The piston,spring,guide etc were essentially the same as the R10 but it was developed with a far less costly method of construction.The threaded endcap was gone and instead,it has a sleeved end cap held together by four square metal tabs.While its construction isn't the belt and braces/overkill approach as on the more expensive HW's,it gives no trouble.
