TX200

Post by Whitey »

Just had to say something. Recently picked up a second hand (as new) AirArms TX200 Mk3 in .177. This is without doubt the nicest springer I have owned. It is the first springer I have been able to shoot really accurately without fuss.I can't believe I hadn't got one sooner. I have had several HW97's in different cals which I liked but this just feels good and shoots nicely. Nothing against anything else, this is just the right springer for me......... I'll throw some photos on soon.

Funny you came up with the TX, I have been eyeing a new one of late. I had one a few years back but traded it to Lewis when I got my TTR1,as usual sorry I did.
They want around $1.000 for a new one.
Enjoy,
Ray.

I think about $860-$900 will buy you one new.

Fantastic springer though aren't they. Blows the HW97 out of the water in my opinion. Sure the HW97 is a nice rifle but it is a fat, flabbery thing next to a sleek, smooth TX. Most of the time the TX will be far nicer out of the box too, and disassembly is a snap.

Would have to be one of the best springers out there. Still on my wish list but too many other things in the way before I can drop the coin on a $900 springer.

I will be shopping around soon for one here in Adelaide but I have not too many places to choose from. I will have to do a tour on the net too see who will give me a good deal on a TX.
They are too good not to have one in the collection. :D

Hope your gonna bring it out to North arm next air rifle day Brendan. I haven't had the pleasure of shooting a tx200 before.

Funny you should say that. We went up to the farm on the weekend and on the way back I called in at the range just in time for the air rifle shoot. Started the shoot and could not hit a steel at all. I had been shooting it the day before and it was perfect. After a while and alot of swearing I noticed one of the mounts was sitting on the gun not the rail. A couple of mount screws loose and I think it may have been bumped in the car. Tightened everything up but too late. My fault I would suggest. Will go through it tonight and loctite everything like I should have from the start.

It really is a great rifle. I am going to order a Vortek kit for it just for experiment sake.
