If only you weren't down south mate. After they fucked me around for a month saying my property was too small, I demanded to pick it up in person!

Said i'd be there in 30. "We'll have it ready for you sir". Had to wait 30 mins when I got there but still, quicker than Aust Post!

Its a pain sometimes but the lifestyle is too good to pass away. Couldnt live in the city now.

Didnt arrive again today, if its not in tomorrows they are getting another call. I can be patient when I have to, but its apparently been approved so FFS mr postman do your thing!

Sorry to hear it's taking so long out there in the West.

Thankfully things are a little better for SA, if my latest experience is anything to go by. I just got a PTA back from SAPOL in 16 days. Third time around in same class. No hassles at all.

Hope yours gets there soon. About 3 years ago, I had one take 5 weeks, so I understand the frustration.

regards, curan.

Gone beyond a joke now,

Rung this arvo, they said yes its been approved. I said i hadnt recieved it. Lady said that would be correct because it hasnt been mailed. Struggling to not make her day worse than it could be, I asked so when would I be expecting it? She ummed and ahhed and said it will be in the mail shortly. HOW FUCKING LONG IS SHORTLY???

Email is being sent to firearms branch tomorrow. Maybe I will call them and go and pick it up in person....

"Pick it up in person"

I have actually done this, I waited my 28 days for initial cooling off period as it was my 1st firearms license, rang up, they said it was posted, waited a week, no show, rang again, lady says "well it should have arrived by now I'll get another printed off & post it" I said dont bother posting it just wait by the printer & be there in 30mins.once picked up I went straight to my LGS & collected.

It took another 2 weeks or so for the original to arrive. But I dont live in Busso, so it was easier for me.

Hope the postie brings you good news this week Brad.

I spent some quality time with the young bloke carving out $15 worth of high density foam making an insert for the 243.

Here are some pics all dressed up with scope, bipod & Butler Creek flip ups. Scope is a Weaver Grandslam 6-20x40 & the bipod is a Leapers with quick release.
Still yet to put a round through it.

Beaut rifle mate, and great choice of scope.

Went out and sighted with a mate today and he had his 243 there. 70gr TNT's shot real well for him and I know the 70gr nosler and sierra ballistic tips do out of other 243's as well.

Well spoke to them yesterday, actually got someone really good to deal with. The bloke said it is in the mail and should be recieved wed or thursday. If not I can call them back and arrange something so I have it for the weekends 100m field rifle and 300m f class events. Apparently whoever I spoke to last week was talking bullcrap... some scottish or pommy bird... but it is definitely approved and in the mail now... Im loading up ammo tonight.

Ah, couldn't help myself Palla.

Nice to see you sharing time with the lad. My boys have all grown to adulthood now, so I have to monopolize the grandson a bit.... :D
