That is a very nice gun!!!
I like thumbhole stock but that is awesome.

Re: mistit's varminter
thanks fellas,i have already shot the 6br and 243 ackley.the 243 is a short throat 15 twist barrel just for shooting short range varmints, with very little load development we managed to shoot several 5 shot groups at 420 yds lasered (about as far as you are ever going to reallisticaly shoot) and we had 2 groups an inch or under the average was around 2.5 inches though (with flags) 65 vmaxs chronyed at 3700 ,could go faster 4100 was double but not without a bit to much pressure and accuracy dropped off any way got to be happy either way

Re: mistit's varminter
So you got her back?
Hope it runs well out west.
Looks good.
Interesting about the pressure, probably the short throat. Was talking to a bloke running them in the us and they were jumping them a fair way to keep the pressure down.
Oh and it does look okay for wood.
cheers.

Re: mistit's varminter
yeah macca i could go to about 3800 without to much trouble with pressure, the 55 btips were up to 4450 with pressure and accuracy or down around 4250 without the pressure, plenty accurate to,we tested both the 65 vmax and 55 btip with the same zero at 270 yds then shot them both at 420 and there was not as much differance in the trajectory as i imagined so decided to stick with the 65,s ,running in the 22br in on monday ,and will do a bit of load development as well,(stick some powder in and a good bullet seat it on the lands) all the load development you need for a br

Re: mistit's varminter
very nice rifle. it will be interesting to see how the 22BR goes. Now that i have the 22BR forming dies (from the 20x47 project) it just seems like i shoudl get a rifle chambered in it.
