22lr come ups

Post by mitchellchandler_au »

Hi all,

Just wondering if any one can give me the come ups from 50M to 200M. Also is there any ammo preferences for 200M shooting with the rimfire.

Thanks,

Depends alot on what you use.
Winchester PP are around 5-6moa. Win subs 8-9moa.

But realistically I would be checking it carefully.

G'day ,
Depends on the scope and ammo combination.
I have never personally wound up to 200mtrs but have at 100 and i had to come up 28 clicks on my weaver t-36.
I have heard some say to place a 14thou shim under the rear scope ring.
If your target shooting just get out to the range and shoot what you normally shoot ammo wise and see how ya go.
Sounds like your gettin ready for the long weekend rimfire supershoot.
Wish I was goin.

By memory mine was around three full turns of the elevation turret on a T36 using Eley eps...................was less with SM320,this equated to around 20ish inches high at 50mtr's.
Hopefully after this weekend I will be able to tell you if I was correct :) .

Brain fart was thinking 100m when I did the calculations.
More like 20+ moa for HV rounds and around 28+moa for subs.

Here's my table from 50 to 200. Gets me pretty close just winding up the listed clicks.
Cheers

Thanks for all the info guys, I was hoping to get to leeton but my roster has me working on all 3 days. I have just started shooting rimfire BR with the smallbore guys in West Wyalong and have fallen in love with it. So next step get a BR rifle, I have put a deposit on a PSECO built Hall actioned rifle I seen on used guns now just gotta wait for the permit to arrive :D . I hope to get around the district to meet the guys at all the different clubs and to learn what I can. Any info about rimfire and Br will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again,

Thanks again,
Is it the Green stock Hall on used guns, looks like a John Cooke build to me.
Considering I plan on selling my Hall in a few months nice to know what the market is.

mate i have always sighted in 14 inches high at 50 metres to get on paper at 200.
If you dont have enough elevation in your scope for this you wil need to shim or get a dedicated set of mounts with a built in taper.

You blokes that shoot at Silverdale will be still 8" low at 200m...so you need heaps more elevation if you sight in at 200yards.

Yeah Brett it is the green stocked hall, I was wondering if a single shot adaptor is available for the hall action.

Mitchell,
The two bands on the barrel are a signature thing that john cook puts on all his rebarrels and custom work.
It got the Les flood looking barrel profile.
Be sure to get a tuner on it.

Ok,in my heavy rifle that is zeroed at 50 I went two full turns of elevation and ..............................56 clicks :) which was a bit less that 16 inches high at 50.Funny thing,I zeroed at 200 with some old R100 and then tried some of the new R50 and at 200 guess what...................................yep same point of impact  Hmmmph who would have thunkit.
On that Hall that you purchased Mitchell,I have seen a couple of them now, they look like repeaters and in the addy say that they are, look like a 2 1/4 stock yet they have what looks like a heavy barrel and also a high mag scope........................hmmmmm what gives?.Do they make lightgun class or are they a heavygun repeater???........................................................why does Cookie insist on machining those rings on the barrels :) .

Regards Chris.
