Nobody has had a play with these thing to see if the timer can be disabled??? If they do come back on i'll buy another one and play with the old one.

They do heat up. Running them indefinitely would more than likely cook it.

Yeah they do get pretty warm but I actually start with warm water. if you started with cold water you could go for 30mins without drama I reckon.

Yeah trevort I just use what Adamjp suggested and tank water not town water.I have found 3 cycles will bring most articles up.

First time I used mine I put hot water in it and only got two cycles before I tripped the thermal overload.I thought it was toast after one batch of jewellery.

Never had a thermal trip..... never knew it had one! the water is still quite comfortable after 5 or 6 cycles. I am using the same mixture as above.

my unit max cycle is 480 seconds. Things are shiny with cold water after 480 seconds.

My normal routine is vinegar with a dash of soapy water. Rinse under the tap then run thru again in bicarb to neutralise the acid in the vinegar, rinse then blow dry with a hairdryer.

I was told to try adding the bicarb to the vinegar. Only tried it once but got the shiniest brass ever!!

OK we are using the cream of tartar mix. Do you clean primer pockets before or let the sound to the work?

it does clean them but I'm anal so the sinclair tool goes into each pocket too, like it takes a second each

Now I know this thread is a couple of months old but due to this:

I thought I should say that you need to be careful not to put your pinkies in the machine while it is running. The consensus is that it can lead to arthritis and some other nasty joint issues.
