Well done to Dave Purcell (Rinso ) 246.5 HG and Peter Van Meurs 244.1 LG.Peter also shot smallest group of 1.820 and highest score 55.2 with his HG. Ian Davis shot a 55.1 for highest LG score. Dont know best group for LG.

Peter Van Meurs won rimfire 195.0. Trevor Bent ( AI ) shot the highest score of 53.2. Some one named Ethan Purcell beat there father in his first fly shoot  .

Both jr's shot well, with Mitchell Tallar still leading the SOTY HG

After a bad day weather wise on saturday for the rimfires , sunday conditions were very good as the scores showed.

I'll put up all the scores when I get a few spare mins.

Well done to both Dave and Peter. They are both good scores shot in each class. Now that the big 30 is really singing good reason to come up north in July hey Dave?

Yes well done Dave.. great shooting.. and Peter.. well can he put a foot wrong at the moment? Man he is shooting well!

Peter shot the 244 using a 6mm Dasher! The 6mm's are having a very good run this year to say the least!

Cheers

Thanks guys,

It was a great shoot, well run and a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere, good to see kenny Yates, Mark & Mtchell Tallar and Tim Pavey down there to long trip but well worth it. What happened to the other Tamworth shooter steven ?
I cant wait to go back to Batemans Bay next year.

Tony Z,

Mate the 300 is humming (just waiting for the wheels to fall off) I will cry when this barrel goes. Tell aJR the Meplat trimmer is doing a great job.

I would love to get up to TSV but it isn't gonna happen this year. My youngest shot his first match and knocked us all off for small group in 200 metre rimfire shooting a right hand thumbhole stock when left handed, he also knocked down a 45 pointer in centrefire with again a right hand thumbhole stock .. he is keen as to shoot, so it looks like I will be using all my spare cash to build a left hand rifle.

Looking for a good left hand BR quality action if anyone has one they dont need.

cheers

dg,

He shot my Match 54 in the rimfire for small group and managed about a 160 with the 308 Stolle which was pretty good for a left hander using a right thumbhole stock.

Looks like I am buying a Stolle Panda LB, LP for him now ...

Dont know if I'll make the next 1000 yd at Canberra now will have to see how it goes as the boy wants to go to a shoot at Leeton the week after.

cheers

Arra and all,

It was great to catch up with you blokes at Batemans :D I only attended on the Sunday and while I made it a little hectic for myself by shooting both classes (thanks Shane for reminding me...."aren't you in this detail"....  ) It was great to put faces to names :D

For me the highlight was when my 3 year old heard the name Mick Farr called and she kacked herself laughing, she thought he said....big fart....cracked us up anyway

The low point was coming home last night with a 2 1/2 hour drive through Maitlands traffic jam.......poor buggers

Bloody good job Rinso :D good to see the genes made it into your young bloke as well, I expect to see big things from him in the future :D ya now have a new nickname Ethan....."nappy san"

AI ...did well also.....not bad for a bloke with a ponytail

I have to agree that Peter Van' is on fire at the moment :D

Col......mate I think you must have been watching what I was watching or something else as equally silly as we both got a similar result   ...no matter we will clean them up next time.....

That Clancy bloke told me he was going ..shithouse...but look where he ended up 8)

I was certainly pleased with my 30BR's performance in LG, it may improve with some long range load work.......I dunno :?

Kenny... your a funny bloke arn't you... I was a little different to what you expected huh...... were you thinking I was a little older.. a little fatter...... The pony tail must have let me down.. beautiful 6mm day and the nut behind the trigger should have been on the other end of the rifle!

As Kenny said, it was good to put a names to faces.... even if they were saying how sexy the 30BR looks (I agree).

It was a good day in all.. very enjoyable.. and I dont know why you other buggers on this forum dont come along to one of these shoots.

Cheers

AI,

Yeah mate, I just pictured you being older....strange how the mind works aye..... Must be all the wisdom you have learned off this forum that made me think that  Now that I know ya... you can always expect a mouthfull of cheek off me..... hence the ponytail crack :D

Y'know I thought there would have been more from here at Batemans too, especially since the location is pretty handy.
These others had better get their fingers out or they will miss a chance at one of JR's sweet trimmers

Jimbo,

Yep, ya got me there  I have often wondered who the old bloke looking at me in the mirror is.... now I can't deny it

I thought Stevo would have opened his gob about it but you beat him to it  No doubt I am one lucky little bugger..... sometimes
