people who know about 10/22's
hi guy's,
I have just got my hands on a 2nd hand 10/22 and all is good. Decided to give it a clean over tonight and took it apart and realised there was no action stop pin!!!wtf? will this hurt my receiver and is there any reason why it would be missing?
thanks guys

Alex, not saying you are. I just like that Dirty Harry quote "a man's gotta know his limitations" I do, i'm a klutz. Mine never came apart. In fact, i dont even know the part you are talking about.
BTW I saw a stainless synthetic 10/22 on Usedguns. Just about to put in my cat C licence application

Hi Al are you talking about the pin that goes through the receiver and holds it in place?alex1 wrote:hi guy's,

There should be two pins the same at the front and back of the receiver. I know the amount of times i have drifted out those pins eventually they become a bit sloppy but when in the stock they should all hold together ok.
Not sure if thats the part you are referring to (see pic)
Sorry, just re-read the post and maybe you are taking about the bolt buffer? The bolt buffer is the part above the bit i circled in the pic. If you are missing that I probably wouldnt operate it without it but I have a spare if you need.
Cheers Ash

Hi Ash,
yep, its the buffer. Not too sure why it came without it.
Didn't really think about breaking the gun down in the shop and probably wouldn't of got far with the owner anyway.
Ash, can i purchase that buffer of you please?
cheers mate

Re: people who know about 10/22's
No dramas. I replaced the factory buffer with a sort of synthetic one, supposed to make the action cycling a bit quieter. But you can have my original, its just sitting around in my spare parts. PM me your address and ill get it in the mail on monday.alex1 wrote:Hi Ash,
