Cheers Rinso , I'm happy with it. Will test it out in a couple of weeks as I am flying over to Vic for a bit of a shooting trip so will see how the airlines treat it.
17hmr , they are not cheap , for the 1750 model which is the longest rifle case it was $520 , you can get the shorter one for less and also if you are willing not tp have foam it can be a little bit cheaper. I have used these cases at work all over the world in just about every sh#t environment that you could think of and have never had one fail. As I have said the case will probably outlast the rifle.

No, had one for camera stuff, mate has one for his rifles...getting one for my rifles though, as they are excellent. That and the Storm - not much between them, so whatever I find cheaper when I go will do me.
I have a couple of foam lined cases for the rifles, but nowhere near Pelican quality - these are the ones I was referring to when I was on about making a mess of cutting the foam!
I looked at the storm cases and couldn't find much between them and the pelican in price or quality. I went the pelican mostly because I had used them for other things like camera equipment and they worked well.
Pelican they are the cases they have the disclaimer "does not protect against Shark bite, Bear attack or small children under 5" or some to those word LOL i find it funny that Children under5 are linked in the small group as bear attacks and shark bites

Yep its true my son at age 4 rearranged (used loosely he actually chunked the pluck apart foam) in a case i used for water quality testing eqipment which i hadnt closed properly
no dramas they supplied a second set of foam for no charge when i bought a couple of other cases.
You would be amazed at the destructive power contained in small children
