I have just come from the range after a early morning ammo test and have come to the conclusion that Eley match EPS is more effected by wind than RWS R-50.
I shot two cards of 200.16 and 200.15 with the RWS and then quickly cleaned and shot some groups with the EPS, it was immediately clear that the deviation for the same conditions was enhanced with the EPS .!!
Im wondering if it has something to do with the projectile profile as the RWS was less effected by the same conditions and it has the standard round nose projectile.
The RWS was the new gold coloured packet and i was impressed with its performance.!!

Wow! Hard question to answer, as I haven't performed the same tests.
The immediate question that popped into my fuzzy brain this morning was: In still air, does the Eley EPS ammo group the same as R50? Are they both equally preferred ammo types for your rifle?
If your rifle likes R50, and doesn't like EPS, then that would explain why you're seeing greater variance from shooting the R50 to shooting the EPS, and not solely because of the wind.
Your barrel tuner would also have an effect on the variability too - one setting for R50 doesn't also equate to the same setting for Eley EPS. Lastly, the EPS ammo you have may be slower than R50. Put them through the crony, and see what the true velocities are?

Never played with a rimfire as such but if the projectiles are different shapes then you would have to assume that the BC would / could be different and then the velocity of the bullet would also affect drift based on time of flight.
