You don't see much Crosman gear out here for some reason - they have a lot of new and interesting stuff - the Discovery and Marauder PCP's and the Marauder PCP pistol, the Trail NP Nitro piston guns and now this beast.

I'd be interested to see what customs and the FAR make of the Rogue....

I'll give Raytrade a call (Crosman's Aus Distributor) in the next few weeks and try and get some dates and hopefully secure a review unit.

Interesting thing is they worked with Nosler (Nioa) to make a special projectile for it so maybe Raytrade won't bother, I was thinking shooting cast or pistol projectiles out of this would be the smart bet for this.
They are actually aiming this at predator hunters which is very interesting, I can't see no reason why a 145gn pill travelling at 800fps wouldn't kill a fox, cat or coyote under 80m can you?

Yeah, cast would be the way to go. TBH, I wouldn't want an expanding type pill if I was shooting larger critters with that. Expansion = less penetration and it will do its job through placement and penetration. And TBH a .357 bullet at 800fps will make mincemeat of any pest bird, hollow point or not and easily take rabbits and hares. Brain shots on foxes would be rather effective I imagine.

The right sort of mould (with deep but narrow driving bands for less friction + power loss through drag) would be the way to go.

Nah, not my scene really. I like my airguns to be svelte and not overly powerful - for me the attraction in them is that they are easy and cheap to shoot and with sufficient power for a few pest birds and the odd bunny.

If I need more than that I reach for a powder burner.

But I admire it for the breakthrough that it represents - a mainstream airgun company offering a big bore. And better still, it's not Gamo!
