The Narromine Dubbo competitor list has now reached the maximum of 30 entries.
Apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause for any other shooters who were intending to attend.
Given our restricted facilities, Prior Nomination is essential in order to aid communication/notification and to minimise disappointment.
Should any withdrawals occurr ( a possibility as the match is 3 months away), notification will be made on this and other forums.

That is just an awesome achievement in such a short period of time Dave. Well done to all involved at the Narromine/Dubbo club.

Tony
The N-D club members appreciate your kind words.
Naturally the club is delighted with the scale of interest and response that has occurred.
Additionally, Rod Davies, Jeremy Walsh, Will Algie and Tim Pavey are all to be thanked for their effort and support.
We deliberately attempted to try and keep a low key approach, and thus no advertising or promotion was made.
We are well aware of our range limitations, time and weather factors and the knowledge that we hopefully, can try our best, to ensure 30 shooters have an enjoyable day, whereas to allow 40 shooters to compete would be a less than satisfactory outcome.
Hence the effort at the moment on numerous forums, to provide notification of the situation as it exists.
We want to avoid the situation where shooters drive whatever hours and distance on the day thinking it is walk up start or nomination on arrival, only to then find out that that is not the case.
N-D is not getting carried away with the response and interest for the March match. After a full season of matches we will have a realistic idea of our average competitor numbers.
What is provided is not considered anything special or a big deal.
* The attendance of all competitors is valued and appreciated
* Sponsors are acknowledged and appreciated
* A publicly witnessed draw is held prior to the event
* Competitors have the choice as to whether they shoot in Traditional or Standard LG & HG classes. Separate reward/recognition is provided for all classes.
* Traditional Class competitors have their results automatically entered in the International 1000yd BR Postal Match.
* All results are shown and published.
* Photos of all targets are provided for competitors.
* For 2011, as an incentive for the 308 and 233 competitors, an additional award will be presented to the top shooter using either of these calibres in both Traditional and Standard Light Gun Classes.
* I suppose that, to be fair, the possibility of horrendous heat mirage, unpredictable wind patterns etc etc also need a small mention.
cheers
