Another dumb question.......
Would ther be much difference in shooting caracteristics between two different brands of projectiles? ie, if ive developed my key load for my 22/250 using sierra 55gn SPBT would I have to go through all the brain damage again if I was to load 55gn Nosler BT?

G'Day M70,
I should have explained, sorry!
If the bullets vary in bearing surface length, thats the parallel part of the bullet. The longer bearing length bullet has more friction, needs more force to engrave it etc.
For example, If you load was a maximum load in your rifle and you used a 55gn boat tail and swapped to a flat base 55gn with a longer parallel bearing length, you may blow a primer or worse, so always reduce known loads by 10% and work up a new load with your new bullet, safety is everything. you've only got one set of eyes and hands.
Also the copper jacket hardness may vary, even from the same manufacturer, a bullet with a harder jacket will raise chamber pressure, even if the bullets may look the same.
Cheerio Ned
