G"Day All
Well last night was probably the windiest night i have ever shot at Lismore and I manged a 199.14 followed by a 199.17,Im pretty happy with the performance of the new maddco and Im looking forward to the coming year.!!
At the moment at the club its practice only as the comp for the year ended in november,so being a NSWSARA range they dont allow wind flags during comp shoots so it will be interesting when I have to go back to shooting with them sticks with a ribbon on them as I have been taking my flags and using them during practice shoots.
Ive got to mow the lawn today or I would be down the range shooting again,Talk about costly this rimfire shooting.!!!

G"day All
Here's a pic of the new barrel and tuner.!!
I have run around 900 shots thru it now and it is shooting very well.
Took a bit of time to get the tuner right but thats all good now.

Good on you Native! It's a good looking rig you've got there.

All best wishes for the future.

Looks like Cookie's trademark "rings" on the barrel.

So are you going to bring it up to Brisbane in May 2011 for the SSAA National Rimfire benchrest champs and the IRB shoot?

G"Day All
The barrel is coming along nicely,1000 rounds plus now and first club shoot last night, shot a 5 shot .110 thou sighter group from a cold clean barrel and then shot 200.14 on the business target.!!
I had just finished my target when a big storm hit and torrential rain poured down.!!Lucky.

That Lapua looks the goods, Ron! The group is nice and round. The SK looks to be more inconsistent, as from left to right, the group gets progressively worse...

Hi Bec yeah thats how i shot it too, right to left. The 1st group i thought i was on a WINNER here and well you can see the results. Maybe its just my OLD eyes were getting tired, i find it harder to keep up my concentration shooting a 6pwr scope all day. Il take it again tommorrow night and try some other brands as well as the same SK match and lapua can and see if it was my eyes or the ammo and post results. Cheers Ron
PS come over and show me how its done ?
