Congratulations to following winners for their consistent efforts in 1000yd BR during this year.
Tony Zubalj Light Gun Group Agg
Alan Neilsen Light Gun Score Agg
Jeff Rogers Heavy Gun Group and Score Agg.
The results achieved by these competitors can stand up to any comparison of 1000yd BR across and within the American network of LRBR clubs and organisations.
Locally we have seen the Postal match concept continue to grow and expand on many fronts.
Participating clubs now include Townsville, Brisbane, Canberra, Murray Bridge and Narromine-Dubbo.
Competitor numbers for 2010 were 19 in the Heavy Gun class and 37 in Light Gun.
We would like to acknowledge and express our appreciation to the following.
ExtraVision (an Australian Company) - for the sponsorship and provision of prizes.
Mr Jeff Green and the members of the Virginia 1000yd BR club for their co-operation and for the continuing acceptance and support they provide for this unique LRBR concept. Most Australian competitors may also be interested to know that Jeff and his Virginia committee publicise and circulate the Postal results throughout the IBS club network in the USA.
All Australian competitors, for their involvement, appreciation and support of International 1000yd BR.
Personally, i would like to additionally thank Paul Janszo, Alan Neilsen, Jeff Rogers, Tony Zubalj, Dave Purcell, Grant McMullen, Peter Kay and Rob McKay for the invaluable contribution they have made during the year for the integration and expansion of 1000yd BR across Australia.
Don't be surprised, if during 2011, additional clubs introduce 1000yd BR and join the Postal Match ranks.
cheers

Re: 2010 Extravision International 1000yd BR Championship
Hi All ,1ST thing i would like to add to what DG said is from just a competitors point of view . thanks a bunch to ExtraVision for their invaluable sponsorship of this event in 2009 and 2010 .. Without the sponsors all this hard work that is put in at the various clubs would not be anywhere near as bright imo.. I am going to contact the manager of this fine Ozzy company today to personally thank him for the support.. Naturally it goes without saying that without the will and drive shown by Dave G in getting and keeping the match alive it would not be where it is today .. A feather in his cap was getting Brisbane ,ND and Murray bridge to Join us this year, even though it took some effort.. And thanks to all that took part also ..JR..Jeff Rogers
Re: 2010 Extravision International 1000yd BR Championship
A sincere well done to all involved in the continuing development of this competition. Also a well done to all who entered.
From reviewing the results of the years matches it is pretty obvious that the Virginia boys are very well versed in 1K score and group aggregates. While the three of us may have done OK on the Aussie front, the Virginia club is light years ahead. That will hopefully narrow next year with a number of shooters entering next years matches with a renewed outlook. I am certainly looking to develop a competitive HG in this off season lead up, as well as prepare my LG for Alan Hickmott to run for all of next years postal matches.
Finally my thanks to ExtraVision for their continued support and sponsorship of this event.
Well done to all.

Eh Macca , How about coming up to give that old *Black Pig * another run up in the Nth next Easter , I'll spend some time with you on the Friday practice day to show the pitfalls of our range .. It'll shoot a 5inch at majura ,easy 4s in TSV and a couple of those would look great on the 6/10 match for your 011 season .. JR..Jeff Rogers .. ps can arrange billet accommodation and maybe bring DG too if needed..

Macca, have a yak to Rinso, he will be coming up here with his partner to see off the young lad before he goes OS on active service. Dave will be coming up to have a shoot, maybe with one of my guns or one of his own, not decided yet. Be great to see the black pig again. Conditions up here that time of year are zero wind and zero mirage. Like shooting indoors, so i have been told. I think someone did see mirage this year, but can't remember who that was. And one wind flag did move, once. We're not going to run flags next year, no need for them.
Re: 2010 Extravision International 1000yd BR Championship
As the others have said well done Dave on getting the postal up and running. It has been a good year for all involved and look forward to next year.
Macca
Definitely agree it will be good to see more with the 6 match results next year. Was pretty tough when two of the matches at canberra were cancelled due to weather. Hopefully it won't happen next year.
We are currently finalising dates for next year and are looking to have the March, July and November shoots align with our 550BR match so anyone traveling will be able to have two days of shooting for their trip with the Saturday and Sunday and this will give them enough matches to go in the postal with a 6 match.

Re: 2010 Extravision International 1000yd BR Championship
G'day all
Well today I got home from work and there was a brand spanking new 8-32x50 Vortex Crossfire courtesy of Extravision and their sponsorship of the 2010 international postal. This is an absolute ripper of a scope and I would like thank Extravision for their support and sponsorship of this event.
Getting out and being able to just shoot and compete in the postal is fantastic. To have the added bonus and opportunity of winning a prize like this is something that should encourage all shooters to come and get involved.
No doubt this year will be no different with plenty of great competition to keep us edging closer to the US guys.
Again, thankyou very much Extravision.

Re: 2010 Extravision International 1000yd BR Championship
Hi Guys, Just received my package of winnings, In winning both sides of the Australian Heavy Gun match i got a Vortex 6.5x 20 Viper Target Dot scope and a Vortex 20x60 Nomad spotting scope , together valued at way more than AU$1000 .. A big thanks again to Claus and his trusty 2IC Goran at Extravision and VORTEX for the yearly sponsorship ..It just goes to show that even old dogs ,if their good most of the time get some rewards .. It,s way more than i expected ,i remember getting given just a single wine glass for winning a major southern match and thinkin well thats it i guess .But a grands worth of stuff ,whoohoo....JR..Jeff Rogers..ps this will certainly get more shooters into the Postal comparison of 2011 now they can see the winning these sorts of prizes and there is also a chance of knocking off some of the YANKS, maybe someday..
