That's about as elegant as it gets on a Sheridan.Tim knows his stuff.

Finally got around to chronying the gun.

H+N FTT (11.4gr)

5 pumps = 594fps for 8.9 ft/lbs

8 pumps = 702fps for 12.47

10 pumps = 727fps for 13.38.

I had some old Sheridan Bantams (bullet shaped) that I also tried, these are 16gr.

5 pumps = 484fps for 8.32

8 pumps = 572 for 11.62

10 pumps = 609 for 13.17

Not bad for a 1981 vintage gun, and within normal specs. It may not sound impressive in this age of "1000fps" .177 Gamo's, but run those "1000fps" guns over the chrono with average weight .177 pellets and the real world figures will be revealed. :)

I got a heap of ammo off Lewis recently (thanks again!) and got around to running a few over the Chrony today.

Beeman Crow Magnum, 12.81gr. 5 pumps for 539 / 8.26ft/lbs
10 pumps for 672 / 12.84

Beeman Silver Bear, 9.88gr. 5 pumps for 591 / 7.66
10 pumps for 735 / 11.85

JSB Exact, 13.7gr 5 pumps for 537/ 8.77
10 pumps for 701 / 14.95

I also have Beeman Kodiaks here, 13.27gr but the battery in the Chrony went flat - so they'll have to wait for another day. Results should be similar to the JSB's I'd think.

Hi all,

I've had a Sheridan since my old man bought it for me as a kid, but the seals are gone. And I stil have stacks of pellets - the ones in the yellow plastic boxes marked sheridan..

Can anyone tell me where I can get a set?

THanks in advance
