Are the CZ 455s downunder yet?

I guess CZ had to answer the Sako Quad, so they've come up with the 455 to replace the 452s/453s, eventually. I just picked one up today, here in the States. Dunno what it would translate into Aus $$, but I got a two-barrel combo (.22LR/.17HMR) for USD$501. It was on sale, of course, and I have no idea what the "normal" price will be. Additional barrels for .22 WMR are available for $120. All that's needed to swap barrels is a couple of supplied wrenches, the barrel chambering of choice, and magazines for same.
At present, it doesn't look like they will be selling the .17HM2 in this line, though all it would take is a barrel chambered for the little thing. I won't miss it, personally, but I plan to hunt down a .22 WMR barrel at the earliest opportunity.

G'day Glenn, I read a review in our Aussie mag "Guns and Game" about the 455 and I really like the look of the humpback stock on the open sight model. They "CZ" look like they have cut a few corners with the mechanic's to cheapen production. Their wood work seems to keep getting better and better. I do like the option of a switch barrel, but it means one less rifle, if you know what I mean.

Naw,it means just another rifle and a bunch of crap to go with it, and stuff you have to keep track of.

I've got a bunch of .22 rimfires, and a Marlin 17V (from the first production run, it's EARLY).
I went over to the shop (it's 2.5 hours away) just expecting to buy another centerfire of some sort, probably a .223, and tripped over this thing. I don't think you can have too many rimfires, they are too easy to feed and fool with . Then again, we don't have PTAs and the nonsense you folks have to deal with, either. We are a lucky bunch here in the USA.

No doubt that if we didn't have to get a permit first there would be a lot more gun sale's, lots of impulse buying.

We've got him pretty well neutered for now, and that's an excellent thing He got gobsmacked in the midterm elections this month, and now we've got him by the short and curlies, he can't do anything unless the Congress agrees to pay for it, and they're on the opposing team.

In fact, just yesterday, the knucklehead in chief got headbutted in a basketball game, and had to get 12 stitches and a fat lip. That's just for starters , compared to what the House is going to hand him.

They are here. Checked out a standard grade .22LR a few weeks back. Could not find much to protest about.

A www.huntandshoot.com.au review (written and video) is coming soon. I've had it and sent it back, they are a good bit of gear, as good as the 452. Didn't get a second barrel to try out though. Love the CZ's.

Yeah you reckon they would get with it in the 21st century, their nickel Varmint model looked great but that's nickel its just not on.
