Tuned .223 T3 Lite

Post by Engnir »

Well I finally got to the range this weekend to do some fine tuning & testing with handloads.
It was a fairly good day being it was not that windy.

I set up the target I downloaded from used guns at 100 yards with hopes to be shooting 1.5" high at this distance.

Shooting 55gn Nosler Balistic tips behind 25gn of BM2 & Remington Bench Rest Primers I was more than happy when I put the first 5 shot group down.

All the advice I recieved from this site really helped me to choose the right varmint rifle that suited me & the application I wanted it for.
Thanks to everybody that responded to my posts & Pm's

Personally, its hard to fault This particular Tikka. Shooting 1/2 MOA with no after market parts, 3-9 scope & hand loads, It really is hard to beat for the price you pay
for the Tikka T3 Lite range of rifles. The detatchable mag is a pain in the arse, so I will buy another when I have the cash. The synthetic stock is brilliant as far as I'm concerned & as for the 'plastically' feel, what does one expect from a plastic stock? Other upgrades I would like to purchase would be Alloy bolt shroad & Tactical Bolt Knob, although these items only make the rifle aesthetically pleasing.

All I need now is a variable scope to 16x power to really complement and complete this rifle.

Cheers,

Dean
