If your after a rabbit rifle have a look at the M2, everyone seems to forget about it but IMHO it is the pick of the 4 rimfires for chasing rabbits.
Loaded with the same 17gr V-max as the HMR but at 2100fps. Gives a very similar trejectory to the 22WMR
100y zero is 0.7" high @ 50y, 4.4" low at 150y.
Price is only about 30% more than hyper velocity 22lr ammo and gives at least 30% more range. Cheaper than the cheapest 22WMR ammo and almost half the price of HMR ammo.
Took my quad out this afternoon with the 17M2 barrel and had no trouble rolling rabbits to 125y missed a couple at 150 by holding over to much
