N-D 1000yd BR

Post by dg »

The Narromine Dubbo Rifle club had the pleasure and honour of yesterday being the first NSW club to offer 1000yd BR for it's members and guests.

10 competitors were introduced to some challenging conditions and have indicated that they will be back in November for their second match.

The club has also set an Australian precedent by recognising and running Traditional (blind) and Standard (marked) classes of competition.

Shooters are free to choose the event they prefer to compete in.

Given appropriate support, it is planned to run matches in 2011 during the Postal Match months of March, May, July, September and November. Preferably on weather friendly weekends :D :D

Visitors will be most welcome to attend. Details and actual dates will be advertised later in the year.

results are in the competition section.

cheers

That's a top effort for their first go.
Looks like that wind was state wide.

trev

alternatively to canberra and brisbane, Traditional and Standard are run as separate events with patches and certificates awarded for the individual winners of group and score in each class.

ie Standard HG and LG

Traditional HG and LG

4 categories as against 2.

for the interest of yourself and others, the range is situated approx 27km west of dubbo on the mitchell highway.

benches are uncovered and portable.

5 target frames are available.

competitors share butts duty/marking etc.

range has a basic tin clubhouse/toilets etc but no showers or power.

Some good results there Dave, very much like the first results from SA. Great to see yet another club spring up and shoot 1K. Well done to all.

This sounds great. I will have to get the Cobar F-class boys together for a trip.
