Not a bad nite using the new target machines shot a 200.17. But now im not sure if i should change barrels and spend some series money trying to make it shoot better. Or should i be happy with my 198 199 200's??

Concentrate on improving your technique and developing a systematic routine and picking the condition. If your now shooting 200.15's + then your on your way.

I assume we are talking the TRA style target. Maybe not every week but only because of the wind. Are you shooting with flags or just those silly liitle stips of material Smallbore call flags. With wind flags and decient gear you should be able to shoot 200 9 out of 10 times. Bec is. Just because the 10 ring is soooo big.

The question is, Is the equipment good enough?
I good quality BR rifle needs to consistantly shoot in the 0.2s, not a good group in the 0.2s once in a while but consistant 0.2s.
I have just finished another customer gun, tested it before I post it home in reasonable conditions. 8 brands of ammo 7 of the 8 shot under 0.3 Lapua M+ x 2 lots, lapua x-act, 2 lots Eley black, RWS R100, and Olympic R the other was $8 a box SK rifle match and it was only just over 0.3. I have not got photos of the eight groups they are in the post. But I have the first groups I shot before the stock was even finished, these are the test groups for headspace and extraction. No work on the tunner yet.

Brett,
The reason why I stated wont happen is exactly why you stated-WIND.!!
Doesnt matter if you have a top shootin gun, custom or stock, the wind will win every time.!!
Having several types of quality ammo thats been tried and tested helps also.
