NEW 1000yd Benchrest 10 shot World Record in H/G!

Hi All , I only just got to know a guy from the US that this past weekend has just broken the Heavy Gun 10 shot World Record from 3.048 down to 2.815ins ..This is a giant step into the 2's ,Matt Kline's dedication to getting the best from everything he does and uses shows up big time now..I thought it would be the Williamsport range that would be the place that ended up with this best ever mark as this is the original home to 1000yd Benchrest shooting .. There hasn't and never will be any compromise to the the way the events are run because it's just the way it's done .. Matt in a recent email to me detailed lots of things that he thinks are really important to doing great on the few ranges he competes on , the most telling was the ability to get the record string away in less than 25 seconds on a bracketed condition .. Considering that the ground in places where he shoots is some 300 ft below the bullet path , there is not a lot of flags to choose from , just a great gun, great shooter, GREAT BULLETS and a hat full of instinct..A big congrats from us 1K shooters in the Nth to Matt Kline .. Matt just contacted me saying he's stuffed,too many pictures and too many Ph calls ,he did have time to give me the batch No of the Berger 210s that he used,might just keep that to myself!

Don't know why you'd want to do that, since boat tailed bullets don't shoot well.

Maybe a good decision by Joels part to sell up this year

Matt also set a new six match HG score agg record of 99.00.

I must make mention of a post on another forum where a shooter stated that short range BR was about skill and long range BR is about luck. Well Matt must be very lucky at every match he goes to. Actually there are about 50 shooters that are very lucky at many of these matches if you look at the stats over the course of this year. I would hate to see what they may all be able to achieve if they knew what they were doing. Hopefully, one day, that shooter may get to a 1K match and show us his skill.

Jeff, unless you are going to fit your Hart barrel, those 210 Bergers just won't do you no good. Maybe you should just send me the number so I can try them in the new barrel
