Townsville 1000yd Match- 12 September 2010

Hi All

Yesterday was the Townsville 1000yd match for September and the postal with Virginia. Yet again the conditions presented seemed to look fairly reasonable however the final results had most scratching their heads wondering what happened.

We had a first time shooter in Graham who notably shot a 5.593" group for his first ever crack at the 1000 which was the smallest group for the day from the LGs and he finished equal second on score by one X hit to Tony Z. Between this result and the recent matches he has shot at 550yd he is trying hard to work how to get a dedicated LR rifle.

In HG JR won group and score aggs with 8.937" and 183.2.

In LG Tony Z took out the group and score aggs with 7.391" and 91.2

It should also be noted that following the update of the 6 match aggregates with yesterdays results, I believe that Tony Z has set a new LG score aggregate record with his 6 match going 286.7 so far this year.

Well done Tony and we still have two matches left for the year so there may be a chance for a result to be similar to the US folk.
