Re: Vic Champs Fly Shoot Nov 6
Hi all,
I had hoped that someone else would have done this by now, but it seems that the over-worked are expected to stay that way! What I am on about is a "HAIL THE NEW CHAMP!" Yes, Light Gun Winner Roy Gow at the tender age of 13 has not only taken Light Gun honours but the overall win in the November shoot!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is only the second time Roy has shot the 500mt 'Fly' - the first being the 'Pro-Cal Cup' in Canberra where he finished well up in Light Gun. He has ,no doubt, benefited from the guidance of that 'old-stager' Barry Tucker but the bottom line is that Roy pulled the trigger at the right moment. If you have not already done so, go to 'Results' and print a copy for this match - makes interesting reading if you are into these matches. Roy used the same rifle in both matches - a spare 6mm Dasher of mine - and beat me with it both times! I reckon he owes me a Xmas present. For the technical - 6mm Dasher, Lapua brass, no neck-turn, CCI BR-4 primer, 32.5gn AR-2208, 103gn Copperhead VLD proj, Maddco #7 1in 8" barrel, Pro-Cal stock - but most importantly - a Nesika action.
Looking forward to your comments!

Trev,
The margin for the overall win was one point (and 3 flies!). The damage to the heavy guns in detail 3 was done on the A target. Details 1 & 2 had a better condition but it did not stay for detail 3 as the scores show - best heavy 'A' was 42 points!

Hi John, no it won't be a ten target match, that was for the anniversary. Too many shooters nominating these days. The best contacts on this forum are "tiger" or "mick".
Hope you can make the shoot in 2011, the more shooters the better.
cheers
