Bugger!

Hi All , Back from Bris with our collective tails between our legs..1st ,an big sorry to the 2 others i dragged down there,i made the flag position call (we took our own with us ) and it was hopeless ..We are lucky to have a fairly flat range at home and as such get a lot of info off the flags ,Brisbane is far from that ..We put out only 3 of our 4 flags because the range dropped away so quickly in front of the benchs that the flags could not get any where near the bullets path..In hind sight the results would have been better just watchin the bigbore flags like all the locals were.. there is some videos on Youtube, look under "1000yds brisbane",taken by Annie.. You can see me stuffin up good bullets, tried to "run "at about 60% speed and adjusting the hold over as i saw the flag changes but as you will see in the video our flags were fighting the tall flags.. Next time i will go with a different flag set up and pick my way through..Yes it was a long trip home ,niether of us had much to say about guns..My agg down there was 13.5ins and the last match in TSV it was 5.86ins ,still i could have been workin..JR..Jeff Rogers..ps by the way actbenchrest has a new 1000yd site up ,will have results from all 3 ranges shortly..

Bloody Brisbane! what a disaster  , next time i'm bringing a bottle of my own wind from Townsville, at lease I have a ruff idea of how it behaves, just as well the company was good and the day was nice, the Brissy people looked after us well and despite driving 1500km to shoot like a goose  I had a great time. ( I won't repete the jokes told in the butts though!)

Then there was the big gun show, :? the buggers all wanted money for their stuff, ya think they would just let me have it after travelling so far!
Bloody Brisbane!

JR, you got it right, it sure beats working.

You blokes were not discraced, there are so many unknowns at 1000 long paces.

It was great to meet up with you blokes.
