Just wondering if you have crunched the numbers for a progressive 6 match out of canberra so far this year?

Murray
i can only really comment on the 1st session conditions, but for canberra i thought they were quite good. not perfect by any means, but light and reasonably consistent winds.
it's the first time for quite a while that i did not have to aim off the target with the 280 ackley.
there was some strange vertical, but as you know in canberra, things can be very unpredictable and inconsistent.
those who shot 2nd may like to comment on what they experienced.
cheers

You get used to it in benchrest. There have been a number of occasions when someone has needed to borrow a gun and proceeded to give the owner a flogging with it. Nah, not at all. I am well over that sort of selfish crap. In fact it is sort of the opposite. Richard did a fine job and enjoyed himself. He also enjoyed road testing the new scope as a matter of fact, a March 8-80.Wouldn't you have the shits if somebody else set a record with your gun.
Many years ago in Canberra I lent my Heavy Gun rifle to a friend from Russia, Vlad Loberov. He set a 10 shot group record. He was happy and so were we.
Besides, what goes round comes round. Last year at the World Benchrest Championships part way through I had to 'share' on Brendan Atkinson's rifle for the rest of the championships......and WE WON.
Stuart Elliott.
ps. Here are two photos of Richard and his target.

Yea, not the first time I've known of it to happen. Still, doesn't hurt to call them a bastard and threaten to never lend them anything again.jimbo wrote:You get used to it in benchrest. Re: Interesting Weekend ahead
Mick,
Yeah well in Richards case we could just borrow his gun sometime...eh?
I suggest you try first.
Then again, no point if it doesn't shoot good enough in the first place!
I wish he'd stop wearing his hat backwards. Can you talk to him?

And not just benchrest.........jimbo wrote:You get used to it in benchrest. There have been a number of occasions when someone has needed to borrow a gun and proceeded to give the owner a flogging with it. That's life!
I've lent my gun to get flogged in silhouette, 3P and Field rifle as well.......
(but occassionally you get a borrowed gun and get your own back. Sweeeeeeeeeet!)
regards, curan.
