I like MISSED's idea of an AV Small Banger shoot. I reckon it would be a great way to bring like minded individuals together purely for the sake of having a good time.

That would be simple scoring of the target.....I'll start a new thread to discuss the match and suitable handicapping.

The following reloading data is from the #14 Speer Reloading Manual.

22 Hornet
33 gr Speer TNT HP, Winchester Brass, CCI 500 Primer
Test Firearm: Krico Target, 24 inch barrel

Winchester 296 powder:

start charge // muzzle velocity (fps) maximum charge // muzzle velocity (fps)

12.4 grs. // 3054 12.8 grs. // 3217

Had Hornet and K Hornet . Nice little cartridge once you have found something that will shoot accurately in them . That can be a challenge ! Thin cases are a pain in the arse to reload and certainly wouldn't be something I'd recommend to a new shooter .
I've moved on to the classic .222 and don't regret it for a moment.

I am not sure its the cartridge or the rifle I am besotted with. I have a 222 as well and love it.I think the 222 is a cartridge I will never be without.
