Scope clicks

Post by Brad Y »

Does anyone here shoot out to 1000yds with a 1/4 click scope? Im looking around for something new and still have a budget. The sightrons are interesting but it seems they are 1/4 clicks and Im wondering if thats a bit much.

I only shoot milrads in the field now, dislike MOA.

0.1mil is 1cm at 100m. That is more coarse than 1/4MOA.

Thats 10cm at 1000m.

Are target shooting? Hunting? Just messing around?

I'm going out tomorrow, and plan to take down some targets at 500m+ with the 300WSM!

G'day Brad,
if you're shooting going to shoot F class, I personally use and recommend 1/8moa adjustments so I can really perfect the vertical POI so I dont loose points. Lost points are SO hard to make up and SO easy to loose if the scope is not set correctly

POI too high and you lose a shot to wind you'll get a lower score, POI exactly on centre, it maybe wide but hopefully just inside the 6 and maybe just inside the super v. If you get the drift.............pun intended! :D

Hope this helps

Cheerio Ned

Yes 1/8 is finer but Im sure it doesnt make too much of a difference. Half the US F class team use NXS series nightforces and they all come as 1/4 clicks. First step is to get the gun shooting first without the damn vertical but im planning on a possible upgrade build in the future too so a better scope than the nikko is called for.
