Nosler Shots

I was wondering if anyone has tried Nosler 20 cal 34 grain HPfb shots.The price is very appealing and if they go as well as then 224 shots it may be the start of a love affair

I'm about to buy some to give em a go. Not interested in 0.5" groups so also thought it would be appealing. Most information I can gather leads to a very affordable pest control projectile, right up my alley. I'll try em out and will post details when results arrive

I bought a box of .224 55gn SP SHOTS a little while ago. I havent had time to test any of my loads yet however i tried weighing some and found them to be incredibly inconsistant in the weights. I ended up scraping the loads to my plinking ammo as I was going for a consistantly accurate load for hunting. But if your not after submoa then i reackon they will be fine for mass pest executions.
btw iv switched to hornadys Varmint .224gn 55gn SP $33 per 100 and all spot on the weight from memory.

Been using them for bout a year now, might not be the greatest target ammo, but my Sako still puts a .5" moa 5 shot group down at 100m when i do my bit and i only throw the loads too.. Cant complain with that for cheap and simple... In fact, i cant get the ballistic tips to shoot any better @ 100m.. At 300m though the ballistics come up trumps..

I've used quite a few of the 34 gr. Noslers on our prairie dogs here in the US. They aren't as consistent or explosive as VMaxes or other poly-tipped bullets, but they shoot generally "okay". I DO get an unexplained flier often enough to be troubling, though it doesn't matter so much PDoggin', because of the high winds. The winds cause enough trouble that an odd flier doesn't seem to matter so much

I use them mostly for plinking and save the poly-tipped bullets for "meat", though, and I do appreciate their inexpensive cost compared to the "premium" bullets.

hi mate, i have the 34 gn shots for my tikka, they are absolutly spot on with my rifle.

they stretch to way, WAY, out yonder and literaly explode when the hit rabbits & foxes.
i couldnt be happier with them.

here are the loads i worked up for mine,all 3 shots and win primers,&2206h powder,
26.5gn .784''
27gn ..415''
27.5gn 1.083''
28gn.435'', this is the load i use and now im gonna buy a few more bulk packs!!
