Bulk Hornady Ammo in VIC?

Just browsing cleaver firearms in qld website its got Hornady VMAX 17g BT for $169 for 500. Pity its in Qld, does any body know any where in VIC doing bulk rounds near that price?

Is that HMR ammo or .17 cal projectiles? if its hmr stuff id look at centreway firearms or clayton firearms a call, if projectiles id call HPGS just got 500 .17 25gr sent to me for $28 per 100

Why not call the importer in Werribee (Outdoor Sporting Agencies)? There are two importers of Hornady stuff, so the price difference may be due to which importer is supplying the gunshops in Qld.

Price drop recently from one of the distributors should mean HMR ammo for a bit over $20 a pk from just about anyone. Ring around and you should be able to find it locally for $200/500 or better without much trouble.
Cleavers are next to impossable to beat for prices, last time they had HMR at $169/500 it was below the distributors standard wholesale price. They regularly have rimfire ammo at extreamly cheap prices, I've purchased ammo off them delivered to the door for 50% less than HPGS would do for cash pickup.

I never had a problem with Cleavers shipping ammo to us but it has always been purchased on the wifes Permit to purchase & sell ammuniton. Delivered by dangerous goods courier and needs to be signed for on delivery.
I doubt it would be viable to ship 500rds with the dangerous goods surcharge, from memory delivery costs on the last order was $110 for 16,000 rds of 22lr and HMR but wouldn't be much cheaper for 500rds.

Definetly should be able to do much better than $270/500 I know if someone asked us to match cleavers price there is no way we could do it, I could manage $200/500 though.

there all out of the 17g hornady stuff and the actual price is $212/500
