Hi everone.
Went for a fish to Browns yesterday, caught these 3 fish.
The Gemmies on squid fished off the bottom and the bft was caught
on a half pilly floated down the cube trail.
The bft weighed in at 70kg and was 165cm long and fat as a barrel,
took us over 2hrs fighting him to bring him in.
cheers

Holy shit  Your arms would be on fire after fighting him for 2 hours.

Great fish

What type of rod and reel combo did you use to get him in?

The pic of the tuna in the bath tub is a corker ! I've just got back from catching a few Longtail tuna about 1/10th that size, bet you've got some sore muscles after fighting that beast

Penguin,

That is sensational and is the biggest I've seen.

There are some big Fish about at the moment especially in the Port, one bloke caught 4 decent sized Jeweys the other night within a period of 15 minutes.

Well done.

Regards

Sean

love the bath tub shot! Nicest meal I ever had was a a seared rare tuna steak marinated in thai spices before cooking. Mouth is watering looking at your big lump of tuna steak!

He was caught on 24kg mainline, off a Shimano Tyrnos 30 II reel on a
fully rollered Shimano Backbone Elite rod. We had bigger outfits in use
but the tuna took a liking to this combo.

The last ones we got were Northern Longtail from Steep Point and we had sushimi and then I smoked some and we made curry out of the rest.....
Yours is a thumper :D :D :D :D :D
We spun ours up off the rocks on 15kg...
What did yours go on the lie detector ?

Nice fin you got there. My stomach doesn't it like it out there.
The local radio reports of some whopper caught off Bermagui. A couple of Oz recorde breakers.
