My parents had a farm on the Paterson river at Paterson ....spent many hours on the river fishing for bass ...great days and nights (jitterbugs)

I spent a ripper weekend in some gorge country years ago popping Jitterbugs into the shadows on dusk. Bloody addictive the Bass. Never targeted estuary perch ... looks like a lovely fish!
Cheers...

Mate and I would chant 'Jitterbug, jitterbug, jitterbug, jitterbug ...' as it paddled across the river. Then WHOCK!, water flies up in the dark and your on! From memory, they fought clean too on 6lb line. We returned every single one, beautiful fish!
Cheers...

Sako 22-250 they're still biting in the Paterson mate , just a little further up in real God's country. Even some of the old people can still catch them
