Picked it up the other day, looking forward to giving it a go.

Ended up calling a few places and getting it for $1060 down from $1199.

Did he mention anything about the sore back, arms and thighs when you get out of bed the next morning?

I love the Fiskars! I have a little tomahawk sized one and it cuts/splits much better than most other axes of its size.

I hope KJD cleans his chainsaw after every use. Hate to scratch that bling finish...says the guy who owns a $98 chainsaw

mine is a baumr AG 2600 with an 18" bar,[german still copy.i think]
goes like a trooper.second winter ive used it.never had a chainsaw before.
sure beats cutting logs with an axe then cutting them up with a power saw.
aquired another one last yr with a 14 " bar, [older model] got some poke to it.]

dads got the still mini boss, geez that little tacker has done some work.
you wont be disappointing keith.

I've got a Stanley splitter with a plastic handle. It is pretty damn good.

Speaking of axes and splitters my Gransfors Bruk Small Forest Axe is the nicest hand tool I've ever used but you pay for it.

That is the best part of firewood - heating you up twice haha.

I thought you ended up buying the cheap Stihl or Husky?

And I know what you mean it is so nice and clean now but it is going to become very dirty very quickly but hey it's not meant to be a museum piece!

I guess I shouldn't mention my Makita chainsaw then...

very nice. I have the smallest stihl which hasn't really been used since we sold the bush block :( but it amazed me what it could do. Have fun with the 'real' one

Well it was a bit of a bummer today, took it down the farm to cut some firewood, didn't even get a full tank through it and the sprocket in the nose of the bar seized on me, good old Stihl bars have sealed bearings as well. Very disappointing, I've written to Stihl to see what they say but also will be taking it back to get it replaced.

That very disappointing, hopefully it's just a quick swap for a new replacement bar and you'll be away again.
