First day out deep in ages yesterday and it didnt dissapoint... Dhufish and nannygai for the table and some of these brutes for exercise. Of the 3 of us in the boat, my mate Anthony caught everything, my other mate Murray took photos, and I drove the boat. Fuckin tin arse.

I was going to drop him off on the way back at the dodgy chinese massage place but I think he actually went fishing again the next day haha.

No sadly these big old samsonfish are only good for cray or sharkbait. Smaller ones can be eaten but I would rather eat a leather boot. Great fun to catch though! This one took about 45 minutes on PE3 (30lb) gear. Estimate the weight around 30-40kg.
