Can't beat a nice feed of reddies we'll done.
Even my kids would knock you over to get to a feed like that.

Looks like a god way to spend the day, Croakachaty
what do they taste like, only tried one years ago out of the Lachlan and it tasted like shit, maybe I ate the wrong part :homer:
Where abouts were you fishing, besides in the boat on the water and are there lots of them there.
What were you catching them on.
And Ill agree with the others, they do look good and tasty.

Sorry for the late reply mate I missed your post
I've been eating reddies since 1953  mum used to fillet them and feed them to all
the kids before we had teeth. Some reckon they are the best eating freshwater fish in Oz,
maybe but are very nice. Beer batter or crumbed is good. That is Lake Hume in the pic and
there are plenty of redfin although a lot are small. Every now and then bigger ones are located but it takes a bit of work. I use small/medium yabbies mostly and metal jigs with
plastic teasers. When a large school is located its usually fast and furious action which is a lot of fun.
Cheers
