Back in July a mate was heading up north to go for a bit of a look around litchfield national park. Being flippin cold down here the misses came up with an idea n said “you know what Mal our youngest hasn’t been up to Ayres rock (sorry Uluru) yet”, so after about 3 seconds of thought (it was a cold July) we decided to head off for a bit of a drive. We couldn’t leave the same time as Col in 1 week, cause we had to give work 2 week’s notice for some holidays so we both booked a week off and with about 1 week of prep we found ourselves headin north in the Hillbilly bus with the Engel in the back n trailer in tow for some camping n sightseeing. :D :D :D and maybe a bit of shooting.
Anyway Australia really is a beaut place n I can post a few picks every couple of days if ya want…

Very keen to see some more pics if you are able. Hope that you have a great time away with the family.

Keep an eye out for any dogs/camels/donkeys etc on the way up!

Yep, I only just noticed this. Awesome. i will do that one day.

And I remember the shark wanting into to your fishing boat and the idea of doing that with you one day. We need to make that happen. I'm planning to be in SA May next year with the love of my life :D

don't just take your rifle, take the missus too

Lived in Yulara for 8 years before moving to civilization in Alice Springs  that 5k wind you mentioned would have been 30 + at the top. Over 27 people have died by falling off Uluru, see once you start rolling there is nothing to stop you until you reach the bottom except for the odd chasm :(

Mate glad you blokes posted I forgot about this one
Dr G mate I knew we were sniffing around but it was a bit of a last minute/no planning trip will catch up though.
You too Trev mate we can get ya a good weekend hunting, shooting, some fishing, maybe put ya on a bull for a ride, run the dirt bikes, crabbing, bit of spearfishing, take ya two an A league game if ya get here at the right time, hike a trail or two, you'll go back sore n tired with a big smile on ya face for sure... :D :D :D
Uncle Yeah I know what ya mean but I thought they were just inconsistent, and it has no bearing on anyone's fitness or ability and they sent people up when it was blowing 25 on the ground.

All the best
John
