I’ve heard Olive oil is the way to go when using it for game.macca wrote: ↑Fri Aug 11, 2017 4:31 pmNo mate. Run it dry. The fat lubricates it. Only had oil in it for the initial start up at the dealers. 30 years on and never missed a beat or beast.daisy wrote: ↑Fri Aug 11, 2017 4:25 pmUmmm bar oilmacca wrote: ↑Fri Aug 11, 2017 3:47 pmHalf and quarter my cattle carcasses with a sthil 08s . Yeah Kieth that would work too. Game isn't usually as fat as my beef.

Used a small chainsaw in 91/92 when I was shooting Roos for the pet food market, took all the heavy knife work out of the job, heads, arms, lower leg bones, only knife work needed was to unzip them down the guts. Used canola oil in the bar for that and it did a good job.kjd wrote: ↑Sat Aug 12, 2017 11:07 pmI’ve heard Olive oil is the way to go when using it for game.macca wrote: ↑Fri Aug 11, 2017 4:31 pmNo mate. If this combination is available here in Australia I'd consider it.
