Seriously? Ban on Butane Burners

Everything that is outdoors and not hunting or shooting. Talk about fishing, 4wd, archery, camping, motorbike riding etc etc.

Stick a fork in me - I'm done.

I have had a deadset gut full of the nanny state.

The great Aussie larakin thumbing his nose at authority? Not fucking likely.

The great Aussie sheep flock, cowering waiting for shiny arsed bureaucrats to look after them, all the while with their hand out asking for middle class welfare and expecting the gubbermint to pay someone to look after their fucking kids.

Well boys, loosen your belts, drop your strides and brace for more rodgering because some morons can't think for themselves and the bureaucrats like nothing better than to prove what tin-arse power they wield.

Oh, I appreciated the rest of Rabbitz post as well, as the nanny state p!sses me off too.

I just like a good turn of phrase, and that made me laugh. :D

As a side yarn, I was in Oslo about 5 years ago, and saw the Norwegian perspective on government control at the fortress in the harbour. There were quite a few steep cliffs to the sides, and on the top was a walking trail with plenty of tourist traffic. No handrail or chain to stop you walking to the edge or falling. Just a series of signs a few metres from the drop that said "Steep cliff - Do not fall" with a symbol of a stickman falling of a cliff. Seemed plenty of warning to me. But at the time I thought that here at home our pollies would use our taxes to pay for a very expensive fence to protect the brain dead masses.

Anyway, rant over.......

Yeah, well I figured it was about time I did a bit for breast awareness. So I decided to give Hagar a little rest, and went looking.

Turned out I found two of my favourite things in the one photo. Happy day!

Hi All,

I can't claim to have invented the fork saying - but I am glad it caused some mirth.

Andrew, would you please stop showing off that photo that was taken of you walking down the main street of Yass. I sure hope that your missus hasn't got it sitting on the mantle piece any more. Is that when you were auditioning for the Walmart add ?????? :mrburns:

Mr Smalls was kind enough to pop one of these in my stocking for Xmas last year, he's used the thing more than I have (read: I HAVEN'T used it yet) and now they're a supposed liability? Sod off. I LIKE my itty bitty camping stove. Use it properly and you wont have any issues! Bloody hell.

Nope.. I cooked with mine nearly exclusively when camping the other week and it did t explode!

They don't like the cold though! I had to stick the canister in my jacket to get some heat into it haha!

Only in Australia could you find a state (in this case NSW) that decides something used by millions throughout the world is suddenly dangerous (because a minority misuse it).

Ha! I'm due to take mine to the Blue Mountains in September and then camping again in Oct/Nov...I'd sleep with the canister in my sleeping bag to keep it warm, but I worry about my farts.
