Only tip I can give is learn how to worm as well. Almost as good as the fishing...

Simple as dragging fish heads in the receding waves to leave a scent and watching for their heads to pop up (you see the trail in the water it leaves). Then all you need to is hold your scent in front of where the worm was, gently push your fingers into the sand around where it comes up and firmly catch it between two fingers when it sticks it's head up. There's definitely a knack to it and if you can find someone to show you it's easier (besides having them make it look easy when it isn't-at least that's what I found, I'm not good at it). They're surprisingly strong and very quick so catching them is a bit of a blast.

Then obviously they get used as bait. Can be stored in a little container of dry sand and broken up as you need them. Last fine for at least the day/weekend while your fishing.
