Howdy folks, been doing a bit of fishing lately at a mates place just out of town, took the missus out for my version af a "romantic moonlit dinner". sitting on the bank of the Lachlan, being serenaded by flies with a chorus of mozzies after sundown. Anyway she hooked up on a cod and broke off, so I gave her my rod freshly baited with a shrimp and chucked it out for her while I was fixing her tangled mess and cooking the snags on the Bidgee BBQ at the same time, bugger me she hooked onto a 65cm cod, after we got that one in, I baited up for her again with a fresh peeled yabby tail and tossed it out telling her "There ya go, we need another". Arsey bugger then proceeded to pull in a 61cm cod 5 minutes later, complete with her busted off line and hook still in its mouth. This is the first cod she has caught on rod, it has been great to see her having some fun lately as the "Black Dog" gets hold of her pretty badly and its been a bit of a rough couple of weeks lately.
